At the Sea Base

August 10th, 2011

AirVenture would not be complete without the visit at the Sea Base. This place is typically less crowded then the main area. Although, on Saturday when we were there there were quite a few people. It also has woods, which provide needed shade after days in full sun. And the cool breeze from the Lake Winnebago and the bay where the planes are parked. And of course. the multitude of float planes. I am not sure why I like them so much. It might be that I like universal things, and they are good not only for flying, but also for sailing ;). Or they just make me think of cool adventures in remote areas, like in Alaska.
