Kitty

September 3rd, 2011

I just spent a day exploring Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. It turns out that the city is a reasonably short drive from my place, and offers a lot. As I was here only once before, and for a very short time, all the museums and parks are new to me. Today we only managed to see the Art Museum and Zoo, so I am glad it is a 3 day weekend. The kitty (leopard) is one my favorite shots of the day. And a proof, that if you know what you are doing, even a zoo pictures can turn out great. The camera was touching the fence, as the lens cannot focus at such distance, the fence disappeared from view. Simply trick!

Lovely shot, Iza. By the way, where are the camera settings, I’ve got so used to looking at them while examining your images that it feels as if I forgot to take my cheat sheet with me ;-). Thank you for indulging me.

It is something with how the iPad WordPress app processes the images that my exif plug-in is not able to read the information. It happens always when I post during the trip :(. For this particular image, the settings were: 135 mm focal length, ISO 1250, exposure 1/200 @ f/5.6.
