We learned about SouthEast Iowa airshow in Burlington totally by accident. They did not really advertise, at least not in our neck of the woods. Maybe just wanted to keep it local. But there is nothing aviation wise happening in Iowa without Tomasz learning about :).
With just few days notice, we were able to plan and go, anyway. after all, they had a night airshow planned, and I really enjoy those. I was a bit disappointed to come late (it was on Friday evening) and have just few minutes to shoot airplanes flying in the great light of setting sun. But the night performance did not disappoint at all. On the picture, there are the light trails of the jet-powered sailplane, piloted by Bob Carlton. Amazing spectacle of light with colorful sparkles. And interesting abstract image.
