Cloudscape- Moab

Cloudscapes are ones of the most available subjects for photography. They can add to any landscape, or can stand on its own. If you live in the place where nothing else is exciting, cloudscapes are great option, and a lot of fun.

I took this image in Old Spanish Trail Area in Moab. We got up early that morning to go on the trail with the Rover Rally group. I was observing the scene develop when we were getting the car ready at the hotel. By the time we got to the Arena, sun started to peak from behind the rocks. I set up the tripos quickly and started shooting.

Iza, such an incredible capture. The mountains look as if they were on fire with flames licking their tops and smoke billowing towards the sky. You worked some magic with your camera, indeed.

More like camera magic, I’m afraid. I was hurrying to work, and did not mention it is an HDR image, with Moose preset for Photomatix…. (http://bit.ly/W43Usq). Thanks, Gosiu!
