My husband and I agree in our love for Granny Smith apples. For completely different reasons. He simply treats them as a great, healthy snack. I appreciate them as photographic subjects. Because of color, waxy skin, subtle red areas, they look great in front of any lens, but them most fun I typically have with my macro.
In the case of this image case, it is another shot with Lensbaby macro kit. Even with f/8, the depth of field was not nearly sufficient to achieve the effect I was after, so some Photoshop work for focus stacking was necessary.
