Downtown prairie

I’m in Omaha, Nebraska for a scientific meeting, for basically 24 h trip. Due to bad planning (it can be good thing, sometimes) we had most of then afternoon yesterday to visit the downtown district. I was really surprised how interesting the city turned out to be! I was amazed by the Old Market, and then we went to see a couple of urban parks close by. The image below, was taken in Pioneer Courage Park. It was 5 pm, the sun was already changing the color (I get better in noticing it after reading “Chasing the Light” by Ibarionex Parello). The underexposure let me show the color and texture of grass, without loosing the sun burst. My favorite image from yesterday. At least until I tone-map all the HDRs.
