Rainy day in NYC

Take a careful at this image. Anything strikes you as odd? Probably not- this image looks like you would see the scene in front of you. But even with range of focus of wide angle lens, you cannot photograph both droplets on the window and the buildings outside in focus in one frame. To achieve the effect, I could finanlly use the technique I learned from George Lepp when I attended his seminar in the spring. I took two images, one focused on the rain and the other- on the Manhattan skyline. Using Auto Blend Mode in Photoshop, in just few seconds I extended the depth of field in my image. It was a difficult image to process, so the automatic function did not work perfectly, as you might notice. But, I have another tool in my photographic toolbox for future use.
Can you see Empire State Building in the clouds?
