Winter trees

On my Saturday walk, I finally had some time to practice few techniques I didn’t manage to study during my Lensbaby class. One on them, which I really wanted to try was image overlay, however I haven’t done it with Lensbaby this time. I took in focus photo and just after that- I took same scene with out of focus, by focusing slightly closer. Then I overlaid them in Photoshop, and played with opacity until I liked the effect. The out-of-focus added some color halo around the branches. It is really interesting how it worked out for this particular scene, because most of the fuzziness are in fact branches from in-focus image, regardless what you might think!
