Photos of a Lonesome and Imaginary Salesman

Is it painting or is it a photograph? Each time I walk past the Edward Hopper “Automat”, I feel like I am looking at the work of Gary Winogrand or Joel Mayerowitz. After all, street photography is a photography domain, right? The down-to-earth, everyday life, presented with painstaking detail. And then I saw for the first time the work of the Ole Marius Joergensen, where that style of the photographic documentary was taken back to photography.
