Aviation Friday – Misty Blues

Teams of skydivers are an integral part of any airshow. They look great on the background of blue sky, with colors on parachutes themselves as well as banners or bands attached to jumpers. Take a look at this shot, taken last year during AirVenture. The pair of skydivers from Misty Blues, the women only skydiving team, creates simple yet graphic image. There is enough tonal difference between the blue of the sky and the blue on the parachutes to create separation, and the blue and pink on the parachutes create contrast, intrest. The two diagonal lines add to the dynamic of the shot.
