Birds in the snow

There was a major winter storm (meaning – snow was falling and actually accumulating, all 3 inches of it), so to avoid driving in this weather, I got off work early today. I set up to work at home, but I saw that the birds are back on the feeder on our deck. I put out the tripod and a camera, and started to shoot. As I was listening to the podcast about Lensbaby meantime, I decided to give a try to f/4 on that lens. As it is a 50 mm glass, I got an “environmental” view, but with a bit of tweaking and croping, it makes for a photograph. What I particularly like is that even with high ISO and quite large f stop, I still needed a long enough shutter to show the falling snow.
