Brooklyn Bridge

Some images are naturally black and white. And I am saying it in general terms- because even if they have color, there is only one tone. Like image of green grass, foe example. If the color is not telling much of the story, the first thing I do in post-processing is to remove it. It is what happened with this image of Brooklyn Bridge.

We took a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge couple of weeks ago, when visiting the Big Apple. It was one of the colder days of our stay there, and the sun was hiding behind the clouds. Although it was a great weather for walk, the boring sky did not help creating the modd for this image. Or did it?

I post-processed it to highlight the rough texture of the brick, and create some shadows to add the mystery and how imposing it felt.
