Praire grass

Today’s photo is all about texture. I am planning on showing the landscape view of this prairie restoration project on my next post, but today- it is going to be a close-up. I admit I pushed the colors a bit, there is not so much life in them this time of the year. But I did it by accident, working on another photo and just loved the effect. The wind was not an issue that day, but winter is so windy here, that the grass already gave up and leaned along with its typical direction. The growth is so thin that you hardly distinguish single strands in the distance, but there is some shape when you get closer. I like the diagonal lines and the warm feeling of this grass.
