Walking streets of NYC

Last week in New York City I was trying to get more familiar with shooting street photography. Hard to practice here, in small town Iowa, and not much better in Iowa City. Although in Iowa City, at least there are people walking on the streets.

I was excited, because I could shoot a film (my “street camera”, Lubitel takes large format, 120 film, only 12 exposures), drop it off at B&H and see next day. At least, in theory. With whole my excitement and reasonably quick feedback, most of the frames came out underexposed (sunny 16 is totally useless, at least for this camera). If there is one picture I really like, both exposure and composition, is the one below. I just wish I stayed and waited for somebody to come from opposite direction…
