I had one more vacation day this year, and had to take it in September. Not a bad deal, normally this should be a prime time to go see fall colors. Somewhere, not too far from here, normally. Not this year though. Between all the way West and Northern Minnesota, we decided to head to Duluth. Not a bad choice, weekend was fun, just perhaps not as fall oriented as we wished. It is a good place to spend time outside, in any case. Luckily, there were things to do even when it started raining Sunday. We went to Lake Superior Railroad Museum. I maybe would not all it “finest collection of Railroad Equipment in the country”, but they had a lot of interesting items on display, that for sure. Just a bit crowded, a bit disorganized and not very well marked. Perfect for photography, though. Full display of bright colors.
