The only candy in my house right now, since we just came back from Poland, is one of most popular and traditional Polish treats, called “Ptasie Mleczko”. As Wikipedia claims, it is a delicate milk souffle in chocolate, but the dry definition does not really reflect how delicious it is.
After years of approaching food photography, I am finally leaning into at least considering overhead shooting angle. I avoided it at all cost so far, since it feels to be overused. Wherever you look, on the web, or in the magazines, everybody is using it, for almost every shot. Yet, to shoot this candy, the overhead helped reduced the glare on the chocolate and saved the photograph.
