Pioneer huts

Regardless how early you plan, the day before and the day you are getting out of town is crazy. It is the time you do everything you need to, pack, prepare the house and all. There are typically few items which could have been done earlier, like, eh, getting couple of blog posts out, but who would worry about that in advance… So, excuse me if my blogging will be erratic in next few days, but I am taking off for a well deserve out of town. Far out of town. What I need now is not only psychological but also physical distance. We will see how that works.

Meantime, I simple HDR from Pioneer Village in Scott County Park, Iowa. It was a bright midday, HDR helped to compress the difference in highlights of the sky and black shadows of houses. The image looks very natural to the eye, that would be how I saw the scene. And something that cameras just cannot do by itself.
I like how the atmosphere of the scene rendered. Sunny day, fresh green of the spring, open inviting doors. It feels inviting and calm. Maybe like it felt to people who lived there more then 100 years ago?
