San Francisco – Day 6

San Francisco first time visit requires trip to Alkatraz. So we went today, regardless of really unpromising weather. Luckily, most of the sightseeing happens indoors. And the clouds let go a bit midday, to let us take a good look at Golden Gate at last and take some panoramas of the city and the Bay. We finished off the trip with nice dinner at the Pier 39.

The photographing during regular visit hours is a bit challenging. For today’s image, I took advantage of the strong lines of the rows of cells and several iPad apps to finish it off. The unorthodox post-processing allowed me to reduce the effect of distracting elements, while preserving the overall feel of the image.
