Winter and birds

Hairy and Downy woodpeckers

Having day off work yesterday, we got together with friends of ours and went to photograph birds on Lake Macbride. I mentioned the Raptor Center and bird bling many times on the blog, it is one of my favorite spots for winter photographs around here. With varying luck, you can get many species of birds at the blind, including whitetail deer and squirrels ;), which were scaring the subjects we came to photograph yesterday quite successfully. Luckily, we had time to wait and came back with some good images. Here are few of my picks.
